Joao Farelo

(Lisbon, 1981) holds a masters degree in Visual Arts Intermedia by the University of Évora.

His work seeks to explore the encounter between territorial and landscape elements, man and nature, society and urban life.

He is currently involved on the production of Imagometry: the analogue photograph extended to other sensory domains.

Imagometry has emerged by extending a curricular work that started during the Visual Arts Intermedia course at the University of Évora, and which was focused on multiple blocks, namely imagery and sound. It refers to the construction of an image-based set of trans-disciplinary work - the non-site to come - related to a place and its study within the context of visual arts intermedia.
